About This Site

This site is not a grand commercial enterprise. It is a labour of love based on my two hobbies of collecting old school postcards and family history.

As my collection of postcards has grown I realised that they would be of interest to family historians around the world looking to find out more about the schools their ancestors went to.

This site is the result - a collection of postcards of schools from across Great Britain. They include both external photographs of the buildings and also, more interestingly, class groups. A couple of sample pictures can be seen on the right.

There will also be a number of school photographs, certificates and cigarette cards that I have picked up along the way.

As well as pictures from my own collection I would be happy to add anyone else's pictures if they would like to contribute to the site. Each picture would be acknowledged and copyright would remain with the contributor.
